Valea Cetăților valley is born from a big emergence of Ponor glade, meanders and is lost in the bed of the valley. Only snow melting or abundant rain can cause water to drain into the canyon downstream of the slopes in Glăvoi glade or Grajduri. Finally, it reaches the Cetăților Ponorului portal, it is lost in the cave and reappears in Galbena emergence.
