Mina Albert was opened in 1799, and in 1822 the working front was at a depth of 130 m. From there, a 233-meter-long gallery dug up to the west and near the Gábor Mine discovered a 97 m wide salt layer. In 1824 the works were stopped by the water. Mine Gabor was opened in 1821, and in the spring of 1868 it reached a depth of 93 m. Here was also a chapel, where the faithful descended on the holidays. In 1951 salt extraction was permanently stopped. The two mines Albert and Gábor collapsed almost at the same time in 1957 and 1958, giving rise to a lake of 2.35 ha and a depth of 30 m.
