St. Nicolas wooden church of Remetea comune, situated on the border between Petreasa and Soimus villages was built by the efforts of the local community in the 18th century ( 1752). Sice then it has affected by a series of interventios that modified the inside and the outside.

The most radical one was in the 8th decade of the previous century, when its roof was covered with galvanized plate. However, the church was not provided with an electrical instalation. The church was built from oak wood and is about 10.5 m long and only 5 m wide. Its plan consists of a prenave, nave and the polygonal altar aisle. The iconostasis was painted in 1775, according to the painter's signature. It seems that the painter was David Zugravul from Curtea de Argeș, and also painted two icons that are still kept in the Church. In the surrounding cemetery you will discover old crosses.
