Avrig village-Bărcaciu cottage

The red cross trail starts at the centre of Avrig and travels on the bank of the Raul Mare River on a forest road. We go past lime mines, and after 4 kilometres we reach Poiana Neamțului tourist lodge.

From here we go a little further down the forest road, then we go to the right. About 30 minutes from the cottage we cross the valley, and we start climbing on Bărcaciu Mountain, up to 1555m where in a clearing there is the Barcaciu cottage. Here are the markings:
