Monastery Cebza

In the cemetery of Cebza, approx. 400 m of houses, there is a wooden church, and a monastery of nuns. The year of church building is unknown, some speak of the fifteenth century, others of the XIX, it is certain that if you see it, you remember Creanga's stories, and at the entrance you lean, because of the tangled threshold. It is a long church (16 m), which is explained by the inclusion of a spring in the altar. People believe in the taumaturgical power of the spring, which made pilgrimages to be held in the monastery from ancient times. The sanctuary is short has only 2.40 m and has a small porch supported by four wooden pillars.

In front of the altar there is an elliptical vault that covers half the altar. The interior of the church is not painted, nor the iconostasis, which is decorated with portable icons. The two large icons are written in Cyrillic letters that they were made from the donations of the believers in the Timisoara district of Iosefin, who probably came to the healing spring. The church and the tower are covered with shingles, the tower has a height of 2.30 m.
