Avrig lake

Lake Avrig is located in the valley of Avriugului, under the wall of Ciortea peak (2470 m), at the altitude of 2011 m. It has a surface of 1.5 ha and a depth of 4.5 m. On its banks there is a place for a tent upstream of the lake and a spring. The lake is the origin of the Avrig river, a tributary of the Olt river.

Avrig Lake is a stopover for those who want to reach Negoiu Peak. Here you can reach, following the routes:
