Known that Macesti was a pretty old place, fact being documented, there was for a long time no cultic place available, the reason for this parohy was founded by the church of Orthodox Serbians from the Old Moldova. There was a church constructed at the same time in the village in 1986, a very simple one, which resisted until the time of the 70's of the twentieth century. Those times started a series of constructions for its refurbishment and decoration. That was the time when the old carpet of the church was replaced with a new one, made of wood constructed by the famous sculptor Jiva Marcovici. An amateur painter made the new pictures on the wall, called Nicolai Suh. This place was used for praising God. More than 30 books kept in this church, some of them being from the 18th century.
