Săpânța, Equevilley castle

The castle was built in the second half of the 19th century by Count Equevilley Viktor, a card-heavy player. He has lost several properties including this hunting castle. The new owner, Judge Medvecky Árpád, sold the Tessler mansion.

Tessler's son-in-law, businessman Zürcher Lajos, in the building behind the castle had an oak parquet section. Tessler was deported to Auswitz, where he never returned. In the castle was moved a family, who claimed that he bought the castle, but not having proof, after approx. 4 years were expelled from the building. In the castle was moved the CAP, which worked here until 1989. The castle was sold to some people, who leave in comparison the building.
