South-east from the village up on the mountains we can still see the ruins of a fortress at 650 m height. Kán Lorinc the chief Hungarian leader of Transylvania in the 18th century started the constructions here. When he died the property was given back to the King as it appeared in certain documents as a royal property in 1312. Some historians say that in 1551 this fortress was occupied and ruined by the turcs. It is highly recommended to be visited from the southern part from the village Socolari, being 3.5 km away from the fortress. Nowadays it is still visible: a wall circa 50 m, and an 5+5 m tower. On the plateau it is still visible that there might have been some other parts of the fortress as there you can still find a huge whole these days too.
