The Timișoara Beer factory is Romania's first beer factory, set up before 1718 in Fabric district. At that time it also produced brandy. At first, it was administered by militaries and later, in 1720, it was undertaken by the town. In 1869 a joint-stock company was made up, which realized a beer factory proper to the most modern requirements. After the fire from 1890, the factory was rebuilt and re-equipped. Following World War II., it was endowed with new production spaces and modern installations.
