Cekend plateau, Narcissus Clearing

Cekend volcanic plateau located in Harghita mountains, at an altitude of 820-880m, it is crossed by part of Satu Mare Miercurea Ciuc National Road DN13. The place offers the most beautiful perspective on the Harghita Mountains. There are pastures on both sides of the road.

After rain the fertile soil of the plateau is covered with fungus. In May, however, people do not come for mushrooms, but head south, on the paved road, in the direction of the military radar. After 4,6km from the end of the road seen flare they came.

The effort to get here is rewarded by the view of the daffodil fields which, although not dense, cover a very large area. It is not a nature reserve, but more and more people accept that the daffodil is a protected plant that we can admire, but we cannot break.

Fortunately, visitors take care of the wonderful surroundings and do not leave garbage behind.
