Ocna de Sus

Ocna de sus is located 3km southeast of Praid. It used to be a center of salt. Praid, which separated from Ocna de Sus in 1669, was born in 1564 from the Szeklers brought to guard the salt. During the Habsburg rule, starting with the 1750s, the salt institution and the salt chamber moved to Praid. Once upon a time, in Ocna de Sus, falcons were raised, which reached the voivodship court in Alba Iulia, but also the court of the Turkish sultan.
