Sâncrai, Catholic church

The Roman Catholic church in Sâncrai was built between 1796 and 1799, on the site of an older church. Of this, only the ark made at the end of the 15th and 16th centuries remains, which is in the sacristy and the baptismal font that can be seen in the nave.

Inside the church is a main altar and two secondary ones. In the painting of the main altar, King St. Stephen offers his crown to the Virgin Mary. A wooden spiral staircase leads from the base of the tower to the choir and tower. The choir was extended in a U-shape.

The organ made in 1901 is located on the side of the tower. The tablet above the keyboard shows that it was built by the company Angszter János and his son from Pécs. The tower has a clock and 3 bells, the oldest cast in 1851.
