The first owner of the Tibod area is Tiboldi György, who received it as a gift in 1831 from Prince Zsigmond Báthory, together with the house of the primipilus. In 1673 Tiboldi István married Török Kata. Having no descendants, a large part of the estate passed to the Török family who bought the remaining part, becoming the new landowner of the locality. The family gave many famous people. In the first half of the 19th century, the last heir Török Piroska married Szabó Gábor, the county sub-prefect. Their son sells the mansion to 5 farmers, but eventually reaches a single owner.

Today it is a dwelling house that only keeps intact only the western part, where the former chapel became a room with a vaulted ceiling. The tombstones propped against the wall of the chapel during its renovation show that many family members are probably resting under the chapel.
