Vacii cave, Pădurea Craiului Mountains

Vacii cave is located on the right side of the Cuților vale. The cavity was known and used by the natives from the most ancient times. The entrance is around 40 m above the riverbed and it has an opening of 27x13 m.

From the large corridor found at the entrance, with great dimensions (40x20m) and a height that can reach 12 m, detaches, on the right, a narrow and short gallery, at the end of which one can get above an impressive corridor.

After a descent of 22 m we get into a corridor with a series of galleries, ascendant on the right and descendent on the left.

Through an ascendant gallery the surface can be reached, on the bottom of a hollow (Hârtopul Simioanii).

The cave disposes of a great range of formations, some skeleton remains and guano deriving from the flock of bats.
