Cold cave, Pădurea Craiului Mountains

Cold cave is situated on the left side of the Cuților Narrows, approximately 35 m high above the channel, at the basis of a calcareous steep, more than 20m high.

At the entrance there is a cone of ruins, behind which, at the freshets, a 1,25m deep temporary lake is formed, which occupies the whole subterranean holowness. The access gallery has large dimensions (65 x 5 x 4m) and it ends with a set gallery which has a funnel on its vault.

The cave is also the shelter of some bat flocks. In the past, in case of danger, the cave served as covert for the whole hamlet and their animals.
