Sovata, Eco-didactic, Bear route

The Ursu Trail is a beautiful 1.2km long trail. It passes through a deciduous forest, the level difference is only 77m, there is no need for an effort out of the ordinary, it is a pleasant trip. The name comes from Ursu Lake, where the route starts.

We climb slightly down the trail from the right bank of the Tivoli Creek to Toplița Hill. On the heavier accessible sections there are wooden stairs or bridges. The panels inform us of the area's plants and animals. Dolphins filled with water attract us.

The indicators show us the right way. We head to Lake Paraschiva and soon we reach a wooden amphitheater. Here we can rest. We have arrived at the Forest School, where we can also take classes for nature protection for students.

We start on and in a few minutes we reach a bifurcation. From here starts the trail to Lake Tivoli. We continue to Paraschiva Lake and in a short walk we reach a view, where we will have a beautiful view of the Ursu and Paraschiva lakes, where we descend now.

We caught the frozen lake because it is a freshwater lake. On the shore of the lake we see the salt rocks. It's the most beautiful area on the route. Even the faded yellow leaves did not fully cover the white rocks, the favorite spot of the photographers, regardless of the season.

We arrive at a resting place where we can evaluate our route. In a few minutes we reach the end point of the trip to Lake Ursu.
