The Iurca de Călinești family later became Jurcă in 1470, received the noble diploma granted by King Matias Corvin, and in 1569 by King Sigismund II. Throughout the time, the family played an important role in the life of the Maramures community and beyond.

One of the descendants became the village priest raised around 1800 this wooden house. The building originally had only the street porch, then adding the side. A terrace was added to the front porch. Inside, the original fireplace and the specially designed oven for the smoking of food were preserved. On the wall of the building you will be able to consult the family tree of the Iurca family.
