Posta, Wooden church

The wooden church in Posta was built in 1675 near the place where the old church existed. The high-rise Maramures style entrance has 4 massive pillars joined by arches, which support the porch. The church is covered with shingles.

The 30-meter-high tower has a pavilion with pillars and arches over which the helmet is raised. At the other end of the roof is a small tower and a half-helmet on the roof of the altar. In front are two semi-helmets, one at the base of the tower, and the other above the entrance.

Interior painting on canvas was carried out in 1781, the painter Stephen, the Sisești. The iconostasis is of rare beauty, but it is newer. Under these ornate paintings there is a painting on canvas with the same images as paintings, probably made by the same artist, Stephen of Sisești. Year is not known, nor the painter new iconostasis.
