Hovrila, Orthodox church

The Orthodox Church of Hovrila was built in 1884 by Greek-Catholic believers. Seeing the exterior, perhaps few would think it is a wooden church, dressed in terraces. After the ban on Greek-Catholic religion and this church became Orthodox.

The construction was restored in the middle of the 20th century, after which it was plastered inside and outside between 1975-77. 1975 brought other changes, sculptor and painter Lucian Câmpenu have made the iconostasis, the painting was restored.

The exterior changes were the works of 2010-2011, which resulted in two lateral towers, and an extension of the inner length by 5 m.
