The Agrij locality's church was built by Greeks-Catholics in 1906-1909. It is a stone church with gothic tower. In 1910 the sail oil painting made by Ștefan Szeman from Baia Mare was finished.

Inside the church was a commemorative board which contained the persons that helped at its construction. During the Greek-Catholic religion prohibition the church passed to orthodox and little by little the Christians as well. So the church began to transform itself.

The Greek-Catholic iconostasis was removed, the original paintings covered. The iconostasis is new and half of the church has already Byzantine painting. The orthodox priest's intention is appreciated, he wishes to build a room in which to be exposed in a little museum the icons, Greek-catholic objects, among them the commemorative board removed from the church.
