The village of Feleacu, situated on the Feleac hill, at an altitude of 711 m, is attested in 1377. Ludovic I brought here 20 Romanian border guards from Săliștea, Sibiu area, for the guarding of the Cluj-Turda road. Instead, the Felecans enjoyed a number of exemptions for a long time. Between 1486-1488, their stone church was erected, over a medieval cemetery, as evidenced by the archaeological excavations performed by Cluj archaeologists. The Caprioara Valley, a strange place with trout and rare plants, is waiting to be discovered by tourists.
