Berința, Orthodox Church

This church built of stone and wood was erected in the eighteenth century, according to various sources 1700, 1750 or 1768. It was probably built in place of an older wooden church, from which the elements of the hull and the tower were resumed. the walls were built of stone.

The roof is simple shingle and the tower is tall with an arbor. The porch is open with arches, the pronaos and altar have a straight ceiling, and the ship is vaulted. The iconostasis is wood carved and has some older painted icons, probably from the old wooden church.
