Rohia, Orthodox church

Rohia village Orthodox church was built between 1905 and 1907 at the initiative of the priest Nicolae Gherman who builds later and Monastery St. Ana of Rohia. In 1907 they sold the wooden church built in 1643 to the believers in Sălișca Câtcău, a settlement located near Dej.

The church has gained its present appearance during the years 1992-1993, when it was renovated both inside and outside. The interior painting was begun by Bumbu Constantin and finished by Bob Liviu Mihai. The iconostasis was made in Targu Neamt and painted by Bob Alan, who painted the church. In the bell tower are two bells, cast in 1977 in Baia Mare.
