Baba, Lime kilns

In Baba, at the entrance to the Babei Keys, ruins of lime kilns appear. Once every family had an oven and their place, now you have to be lucky to catch a smoker's oven.

Everywhere there are piles of stone, coal and wood for fire. The remaining Baba spells work today, according to the same rules, as a hundred years ago. The limestone is manually exploited in the quarries here, and the burning furnaces are dug into the ground and elevated. There are 40 hours of continuous fire, heat hard to bear until the gray-blue stone turns into furnaces in a lime kiln.
