In the middle of the settlement you can see the gothic style, evangelical, fortified church built in 1402. In 1506 when the Turks left the church was renovated, its walls were strengthened with pillars and a 6 meter high wall was built. After another Turk raid, the roof collapsed and newer renovation had been made. In 1975 when the Saxons large emigration, away from here, came about and other families moved in their places, the church became an empty building. Luckily the altar, made in 1490, was saved by the Bruckenthal museum, today you can see it there. The whole fortified church could use a renovation.
