Valea Viilor, Evangelical fortified church

Valea Viilor is proud of one of the most beautiful Saxon churches in Transylvania. It was erected in the Gothic style in the 15th-16th centuries in the place of a smaller church. The ship has an arched ceiling with a complicated rib grid that rests on 7 pairs of poles.

Inside, you can admire the altar made by Johann Folbarth in Sighisoara (1779), an old crystals, the pulpit crown from 1746, and even the priest's side in 1526. The fortification works of the church were begun in the 15th century and were finished in 1520.

The church has two entrances one in the south, the other one in the north, equipped with a barbecue. The surrounding wall has a height of 6-7 m, it has ramparts, throwing holes, blocks and several towers, of which only 4 were preserved. The ship received a defense floor with ramparts.

The choir was reinforced with the massive wall of the tower. This church in 1999 was listed on UNESCO's list of monuments.
