The Lutheran church of Buzd was built in the late 14th early 15th century in Gothic style. It has only one ship, the apse is polygonal, and entry into the church is at some stage covered a length of approx. 50 m. The building was fortified in the first half of the fifteenth century.

Defense wall had a height of 6-7 m, which is preserved on the eastern walls of 4-5 m high. Buttresses in this area are placed on the inside because of pronounced slope of the hill. The fortress used to have two towers. 1491-95 the chore and apsis got a tower above, which protected them and certain channels along and wholes for some further building. The main entrance of the church is in its western side and it is a huge, gothic gate. The ceiling is wooden and the altar is nicely ornamented built in 1778.
