Sighetu Marmației, Cemetery of the Poor

The inhabitants of Sighetu Marmatiei are convinced that those who died in prison here were secretly buried here at night. There are many leaves, several hundred graves that could not be identified. For this reason, in 1999, the outline of Romania was planted with bushes on the surface of the cemetery. An altar was built, and this outline can be seen from a belvedere. This cemetery is dedicated to all victims in prisons and camps where innocent people have been deported. After the inauguration, crosses, crosses and the monument of the heroes also appeared here.
