Corund's mineral waters and their beneficial effects on the body have been known since ancient times. Salt and carbonated waters have been bottled since the 18th century and traded until World War II.

In 1864, The X General Assembly of Hungarian doctors, was discussed Corund springs and baths. In 1896 at the Millennium Exhibition Árcsó received a flattering letter. The right to use the mineral water in the resort of Árcsó was granted by the Empress Mária Terézia herself.

Of the many springs that once existed, only three still function today. Corund springs have been used to treat lung, respiratory, gastrointestinal and anemia, and in spa treatment Salt baths Unicum has been used to treat gynecological conditions, hemorrhoids and skin diseases.
