Vețca, Catholic church

The medieval church in Vețca no longer exists. In the sixteenth century, the old church built at the edge of the cemetery Mary became Unitarian but probably after Teem Friars in 1700, the number of Catholics has increased so much that in 1722 the church was again Catholic.

That in 1749 the town has one Unitarian family is the result of family influence Horváth, the owner of the Catholic Church. The church was demolished between 1790-92 and a new one was built in the center of the town.

Busts of saints are lined up in the wall around the church. The organ was made in 1912 in Pécs, József Angszter workshop son. The bells in the tower are new, the old one being built in Bucharest in 1956. The old bells were transformed into cannonballs for Gábor Áron.
