The Evangelical parish of Slimnic, one of the oldest buildings in the locality, was built at the same time as the church, and finished in 1438. It is a building that has seen much in its time, and for which it was dulled in the 1860s even a priest in the locality. It is Martin Malmer, the one who had the courage to "ruin" the Gothic appearance with this unusual façade, unsupported by Saxon believers. Following the scandal, the priest has fled to Cristian, where he has been serving for 30 years, and people have become accustomed to the appearance of the building.

On the wall of the parish can be seen two commemorative plaques, named after the poet Petőfi Sándor and General Bem Josef, two outstanding personalities of the Transylvanian Revolutionary Revolution, who in 1849 housed this building.
