Viștea, Reformed church

The first locality's Romano-catholic church was built in around 1280 because in 1291 it was Episcopal property.

The original sides on the west side, the vault gate or the rosette, were made in the second part of XIII century. Year 1498 that can be seen on the vault's closing stone indicates the church's restoration year.

Later on here worked known dabs like Asztalos János from Gilău who made in 1699 the west chorus.

The painter from Cluj, Transylvanian Saxon origin, Umling Lõrinc and his sons worked 15 years at the church's interior. In 1765 the south door was made followed by the Lord's Table, pulpit, benches and the 200 roof's painted cassettes. According to the researches the Moses' chair is since the end of XV century. It is interesting that the song board from the organ was made by the Umlings at the end of 1700's.

The organ, instead, made by Andreas Eitel from Cluj got in the church with at least 30 years later. Starting from this data specialists assume that another organ existed before the present one. Inside the church in 1985, thanks to Hungarian National Commission of Monument's protection, were discovered frescoes made before 1580. The belfry tower was built in 1760 and has the bell made in 1784.
