The Catholic Church of Baita was built between 1907-1908. In 1590 all Catholic believers passed to Reformed religion, and the Catholic parish was abolished. In 1748 there is still no Catholic believer. The revival of religion is due to Jesuit and Minor missionaries, in 1768 the Catholic parish was re-established. The first church was built in 1764, and in 1802 it was already ruined.

At first, Catholics used a room for services. The church was built in 1803. It had a wooden tower and was surrounded by a wall. With increasing number of faithful church became too small. The current church was built between 1907-1908.
