The orthodox church of Mirșid built by Greco Catholics in 1888 was made on a wooden church's place. During the communists this church became orthodox as well.

In 1985 its state was precarious. In 1985-1986 it had passed through capital reparation. It was daubed and painted by Victor Pistu from Bacău and Ion Ștefan from Șomcuța Mare. Panels were fixed and the two towers were built then as well.
