For the lakes circuit, it's easiest to go from Tăul Porții (2260m). Is a lake with a special spell. In good weather in his waters mirrored the corners of the Poarta Bucurei and the rocks of Judele

From Tăul Porții we descend to the red point to Tăul Agățat (2208m), a small but constant lake, fed by underground springs. It occupies a glacier circle suspended under the peak of Bucura. From here you can see the lakes.

From Tăul Hanging we start in NE direction, without marking. After a downhill, below Tăul Porții on the trail, we reach Florica Lake (2090m). Situated above Lake Viorica, it has an area of 0.80 ha. It is powered by two springs and is populated with trout.

We continue on the path and quickly reach Lake Viorica (2070m). It has a slightly curved shape, and an average depth of 3 m. It was populated with trout.

The high threshold after Lake Viorica obliges its waters to fall in the waterfall to Lake Ana (1990m). It is the largest lake in the range of lakes, it has an area of 3.10 ha and an average depth of 11.5 m. Its waters reach Lake Lia. It is populated with trout.

We descend by the Ana brook 20 minutes and we reach the lowest lake of the lakes, the Lia Lake (1910m). It has an area of 1.35 ha in the form of a triangle and a depth of 4.5 m. It is fed by the springs of the lakes, the Zanoaga and the of the Bucura valley. Its waters form the spring of the Bucura brook. In order to reach Lake Bucura, we will pass the waters of the stream and under the ienupăr of Lake Lia, we start the climb. We come to the blue band marking, which we are in Bucura in 20 minutes.

Lake Bucura (2040m) is located below Peleaga Peak and Bucurei saddle. It has an area of 8.80 ha and its depth reaches 15.7 m. It is the glacial lake with the largest surface in the country. It is powered by 5 springs, and its waters reach Lake Lia. It is populated with trout. On the shore of Lake is the Salvamont Refuge, and is the most popular camping site. From here start the most marked trails:
