Porții lake

Tăul Porții is the highest of all that forms the ring - lakes. It is at an altitude of 2260 m, it is only 5 m deep and often gets into the shadow of the surrounding peaks. All this helps to keep snow on the lake, only in the warmer years the ice melts in July.

If we arrive in beautiful weather on the shore of the lake we offer a splendid panorama in the water mirror. The Poarta Bucurei corners and the black cliffs of the Judele Peak create a beautiful contrast on the water lake. At Tăul Porții you can reach the markings:
