Stevia lake

Nestled in a small pot with steep walls at the base of the north wall of Retezat Peak, Lake Stevia is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Retezat mountains. Located at 2070 m snow melts hard on its shores, but summer has greenish water.

It is a deep lake is about 10 m depth, and an area of 0.7 ha. Crystalline water is populated with trout. The place has an incredible sound. I do not get here any marking, but red tape to mark the top Retezat passes by. When you want to take it to the left, Lolaia saddle to Lake Stevia must forward on the path towards the tip cut off. Just past the large boulders and reach Lake Stevia.
