Râușor - Retezat peak

Our route starts from Râu de Mori and follows the modernized road to Râușor - the Rescue Base (1185 m) From here along with the red band and the blue cross we head towards the ski slope. At the bottom of the slope leave the two markers.

We follow Valereasca valley until the mark begins to climb to Muncelu saddle (1587 m). From our route, the climb continues to the left, passing through a juniper area, up to the Prelucele Peak (2265 m). From here to Retezat peak we have to climb about 200 m difference in level on a stony ridge. Retezat Peak (2482) in beautiful weather gives us exceptional views. Its plateau is a meeting place for several routes.
