Pietrele lodge - Vârful Mare

The route marked with red triangle and blue band starts from the former Pietrele cottage, enters the forest after approx. 5 minutes separates from blue band.

Our route continues on the level curve, by a slight descent, crossing a clearing, the bridge over the Pietrele brok and begins to climb to the left.

As we reach the top, we begin to descend on the other side, cross the Galeș water, and after ten minutes of easy climb we start a more pronounced one. A shepherd sign and the red point announces the beginning of the bifurcation towards Tăul dintre Brazi (1710 m). Called by the two marks, we cross the Galeș water and start a hard climb, with serpentines, and we reach a clearing. We do not continue the road in the marked direction and the moon by a cliff, on the southern side of the clearing, we are heading westwards, and at 150m of the clearing we reach Tăul dintre Brazi.

We go back to the clearing and now we walk along the cliff, on the marked path and the mommy. We pass the water to Galeș, and after a climb we go to a spring with springs, from where we climb directly on the slope and get to the trail marked with red triangle.

We climb several successive thresholds, pass by Galeșul sheepfold, and after a new threshold we arrive in the Galeș valley. The lake is at the altitude of 1990 m. Here we find the marking:

Our route continues to climb to the left, on the secondary ridge, to the Vârful Mare (2463 m).
