Tîrgu Mureș, Orthodox Basilica

The cathedral was built in the center instead of the famous Singing Fountain, which after the death manufacturer failed and nobody could fix it and was demolished. Remained free place in 1925 began construction designed by Joseph Vlad.

The construction and decoration lasted 61 years. The dome was painted by artist Aurel Ciupe. The iconostasis was made in 1934 by Traian Bobletec of Nazna and painted by artist Virgil Simionescu in Lugoj. The interior painting was done in the period 1970-1986.
